- Open iOS Settings → Notifications → Daily Deen.
- Turn on Allow Notifications, Sounds, and Lock Screen alerts.
- Open the app → Settings → Prayer reminders.
- Turn reminders off, then on, to recalculate and reschedule.
- Confirm the calculation and Asr methods used by your local masjid.
iOS may suppress alerts in Focus modes. Add Daily Deen to the allowed apps for any Focus mode in which you want prayer alerts.
Prayer times do not look correct
Prayer times vary by calculation convention and Asr method. In the app, open Settings → Prayer reminders → More settings, choose the convention used by your local masjid, and recalculate for your location.
The Qur'an or recitation will not load
Qur'an chapters require internet access the first time they are opened. Chapter text is available offline after loading once. Audio is streamed and requires a connection. Check your network, close the reader, and try the chapter again.
Location permission was denied
Open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Sunnah Companion and choose While Using the App. The app does not need background location access.
Reset progress or erase app data
Use Clear today in Settings to reset the current day. Use Erase all app data to remove routine progress, preferences, prayer settings, Tasbih counts, and cached Qur'an text from the device.
Content and religious guidance
Daily Deen is a habit aid, not a substitute for qualified local scholarship. Prayer conventions, observed lunar dates, and individual circumstances can differ. Consult a trusted scholar or local community for personal rulings.

Read the full privacy policy, including the app's location, notification, Qur'an provider, and local storage practices.
